I took two actions to start the process of finding the owner of the memory card. I posted a "Lost and Found" item on the Houston Craigslist community. A bit of a long shot but worth a try. Then, thanks to Gordon, I emailed and entry on http://ifoundyourcamera.blogspot.com/. This site is an amazing idea. It is a Blog that is a clearinghouse for found cameras. I picked out several pictures from the memory card and emailed them to the site. My entry should be up there on Saturday.
I have started scanning through the 1300 pictures on the card, looking for clues. I have found some that might help, things like a church name, a wedding at the church and the pictures are date / time stamped. If, the clock on the camera is set properly, then I should be able to contact the church and see who was wed that day. Before I go that far, I want to go through all the pictures and see if there any more obvious clues.
