I c
This has been a pretty good week of training. I am glad to be back at it and having a regular schedule of training. I donated blood on Wednesday and mis-calculated the impact. On Thursday morning I went to swim class. I was able to swim the whole workout but I felt real sluggish. I felt like I was dragging bricks around with me. I made sure I ate really well during the rest of the day and worked on getting recovered. That evening I had to drop out of core class and spin class. I made it half way through core and just could not handle it. Again I felt really heavy and could not cut it in the class. Oh well, I am not worried about it,, just a minor setback.
This weekend was really cold. We were supposed to ride for 60 miles but due to the weather, we took it indoors. Sitting on a bike, indoors, spinning for 3 hours is one of the most boring things you can imagine. Basically, you sit, you pedal and you watch videos, or listen to music. There is one good thing about spinning indoors,, I can have coffee while I ride. I had a cup of coffee where I usually carry a water bottle. It fits in the holder perfectly. I was able to concentrate on my pedal stroke. Consequently, my hamstrings are really sore today. Today we were set to run for 12 miles on the trails and in the greenbelt. I was really looking forward to this but for some reason,, was not able to run very well. I want to think that it is due to donating blood but I cannot blame that for everything. I think my diet is all messed up. I am running out of energy after I work out for a short time. This is something else to work on over the next week or two.
I was really wanted to run the greenbelt and am sorry that I did not make it. The greenbelt trail follows Barton Creek and weaves in, out and across the creek as it makes it way upstream. If not for the occasional glimpse of a house, the traffic noise and some familiar landmarks, you could imagine yourself being out in the middle of the nowhere. It is very pretty up there and a nice run. I think the next time I go for a run and it turns to crap, I will just cut it short rather than slogging my way through the 10 miles. I am always learning something.
Onto the memory card…
I checked the web site, www.ifoundyourcamera.com , to see if they posted my entry for the memory stick and it is not up yet. No word from the Craigslist ad. Meanwhile, Inspector Gadget, has been sifting through some clues. I found the church where the wedding was held in one of the pictures. I have the name of it and it is in a city near New Orleans. I used a couple of cool internet sites. First, from the picture, I could see the name of the church and the pastor / reverends name. Using the net, I searched for churches with the same name and a pastor name that matched. Luckily, I found one in Gaston LA. I then used Google maps with the street view to see of the picture from the camera was close to what the Google view was and they are the same. So, now I have a church, a wedding, and a date (again, hoping the date and time of the camera are correct), I can write the church and see if they can help. Before I do that,, I just thought of something, I am going to take some of the pictures and try to see if the date times are set correctly. There are some pictures that I can get dates from and match them with a holiday or event. Christmas, the inauguration, Mardi Gras, etc.
