Discovered another butthead

From time to time, we cross paths with people who I classify as buttheads. I would call them cowardly, inbred, closed minded, horse's ass but I don't want to demean the equine species. On a recent bike ride we encountered a guy who drove as close as possible to us while he honked his horn. This was not an accidental encounter. He individually targeted each of us. I have no idea why people feel so combative towards bike riders. We were not in the middle of the road, we were not weaving around. They only possible thing that he could have been offended by is me in spandex shorts. Why everyone else had to suffer for my poor taste and lack of judgement, I do not know. I just do not understand what makes a person who is riding in the shelter of their 2 ton vehicle, want to try and cause harm to someone on a bicycle. I wonder if he drives off feeling like he has done something to change the world? I am not smart enough to figure that one out. If I was, I probably wouldn't be wearing spandex.
